Since 2005, ToucanEd has provided the County School Board of Fairfax County, VA a variety of development services including curriculum writing, developmental editing, original illustrations, art, design, layout, and manufacturing of Healthy Choices, the public school system’s health education program of studies.

Fairfax County Public Schools’ (FCPS) Healthy Choices Program of Studies (POS) provides comprehensive and engaging approaches to health education for students at grade levels K–3 and 7–10. Each grade-level curriculum integrates important age-appropriate health content with opportunities for students to develop essential skills to apply health knowledge in their lives. The goal is to develop healthful habits now that will contribute to their health lifelong.

These lessons offer a variety of instructional approaches, including role-plays, cooperative learning activities, independent work, and classroom demonstrations, in a clear, easy-to-use format.
