ToucanEd provided developmental services including writing, editing, original art and illustrations, design, and layout of Creating an Asthma-Safe School! A Guidebook for School-Wide Asthma Education.
The New York City Department of Health, in partnership with the New York Academy of Medicine, Office of School Health Programs presented the asthma guidebook as part of its 2002 School-Wide Asthma Education program in the New York City Public School Pilot Sites (K–6). The guidebook was designed to create an asthma-safe school by increasing asthma awareness, knowledge, and action at school.
